Regardless of the time that has passed, wanting to write and also tell others about a snippet or a small fraction of you life, sometimes feels exciting but most of the time, it feels too personal to share. However, tonight, I fell like listening to the stream of keyboard clicks.
Have you ever wonder why there are time where you feel like you wanted to do lots of good stuffs, increase your deeds and motivated to do more. A little extra of everything. Extra cleaning. Extra organizing. Extra sunnah. Extra Reading. Extra Helping. Not long after that you feel extremely exhausted, wanting to quit and just dragging your feet and head to finish a task.
Being consistent, istiqamah is never easy. It needs a consistent effort to stay consistent. But the trial from Allah swt, doesn't stop at one only. It came one after another, and on top of that, you are struggling to stay consistent. There are times where you swayed away by other interest in the less important stuff. Getting caught up into an obsessions, or new interest, that makes the consistent effort needs an extra effort.
So, how do we stay consistent? How do we maintain our istiqamah? How did Rasulullah saw stayed consistent throughout 23 years of dakwah? How do the sahabat & sahabiah stayed consistent? We are all human being after all.
Did you know that one of Sahabah's son used to remember Surah Qaff by heart because he always hear Rasulullah saw recite the surah almost every friday prayer? Why this particular surah out of all the others? And why does he choose to recite and elaborate this surah every week?
Try and read the surah, which is the 50th surah in the quran. Read through the meaning of each ayat and you will understand why Rasulullah saw choose this particular surah. The main aim is for the sahabah to be steadfast in their life. To remain consistent and to always tie their heart towards Allah swt.
So, what about us?
